As the organizer of TechDays Finland, we are taking the current situation regarding the Corona COVID-19 virus very seriously. The health and well-being of our exhibitors, visitors and staff is our number one priority. At the moment the Finnish government has not imposed any specific restrictions regarding the organisation of events such as TechDays. Naturally we will continue to monitor the situation closely.

TechDays is a local Finnish event. Our event is attended by a limited number of foreign visitors, but several of our speakers at the event are international guests. None of them travel from high-risk areas (currently, the corona epidemic area covers mainland China, Iran, South Korea and regions of Veneto, Lombardy, Piemonte and Emilia-Romagna in Italy), but due to a travel ban in their companies, some of them won’t be joining us as planned.  Miri Rodriguez will be joining us by remote and on video instead of being on stage. The sessions with Sjoukje Zaal, Sarah Lean, Kris van der Mast and Marco de Santis will unfortunately be canceled.

Meanwhile several measures have been put in place at our events in terms of hygiene (more thorough cleaning) and prevention (availability of disinfection gel in various locations).

In addition, all customers, visitors, exhibitors and staff are advised to:

  • Frequently wash their hands with soap and water or disinfection gel
  • Cough or sneeze into the crook of their arm or cover their nose and mouth with tissues
  • Avoid all contact with people who have a cold or flu symptoms

TechDays also advises everyone to follow the general recommendations of the WHO (https://www.who.int/fr/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019) and the Finnish  government (https://thl.fi/en/web/infectious-diseases).

See you soon at our event! We are looking forward to two very intense, inspiring, fun and exciting conference days!
